The Minister writes:
Welcome to the South Molton Methodist Church. We are part of the Methodist Church of Great Britain, the Plymouth and Exeter Methodist District (which comprises almost 300 churches mainly in Devon and Somerset and around 9000 members) and the South Molton and Ringsash Circuit (which comprises of 8 churches on either side of two major roads; the A361 southeast of Barnstaple and up to the edge of Exmoor and the A377 northwest of Crediton).
Serving the Lord Jesus Christ is not just a Sunday activity for this Church. We look to serve with a range of activities for all ages, working in partnership with others to make this happen where we are unable to take a lead ourselves.
In South Molton, there are a range of activities including Women's Fellowship, Boys Brigade, Girls Brigade and Messy Church, all running alongside the normal Fellowship activities, Bible Studies, and House Groups. Full details of 'what's on' in the church can also be found in a welcome pack. If you would like a pack sent to you or you can't find what you are looking for, please contact me and I will point you in the direction of a local church who may be able to help you.
People from the church are also involved in community based activities, in schools, in hospitals and local nursing homes. We have a Children and Young Families Worker employed at the church who is starting to develop additional activities for the relevant age groups and atctively engage with young people within the local schools and in South Molton, North Molton, Bishops Nympton and Kings Nympton.
Our Sunday worship shows a mix of the traditional to more modern style depending on the week.
It is my hope that you will find a welcome in this church, just as I did when I moved here in September 2014. It is my hope too that you will be able to make a spiritual home with us; with a life focussed on faith through prayer, bible study, worship and fellowship and a life transformed by living out the faith on a daily basis.
If you want further information about South Molton Methodist Church or the wider Circuit please feel free to contact me and I will do my best to help.
So welcome again, in the name of Christ Jesus our Lord!
Revd Stuart A Innalls
